Brief notes to complement slides: Circumcision essentially started as a random trial attempted to cure a boy’s walking problems. Somehow it actually worked, and it took off from there. While thereafter it was shown to not work for curing any ailments, it did prove to reduce masterbation, and due to religions it became a prescribed procedure.
